Good Friday

Today is Good Friday and everyone is getting ready for the Easter Holiday weekend. 

The Easter Weekend is always a busy time in the store.  Lots of Easter Basket gifts of Pandora and other
jewelry are being purchased.

I remember back in the 70's when my wife worked at Shumate's Naturalizer shoe store in the Rivergate Mall.  Easter Weekend was like Christmas time for the jewelry store. Everyone wanted new shoes for Easter.

My dad told me that when he was growing up during the Great Depression in the 30's that no matter how poor the family was, they always managed to get a new outfit of clothes to wear on Easter Sunday.
